How do you prevent a virus from attacking your computer? The best method of preventing a virus attack is to maintain a good balance of caution and defense when you are connected to the internet.

Exercising caution simply means using good judgment when opening emails and attachments, even when they seem to be from friends and co-workers. The best rule of thumb to follow is that if your not sure delete the email and do not open the attachment!

Exercising a strong defense is a two step approach.

Step 1-Keeping your operating system up to date by applying the latest critical patches and fixes

Step 2-Installing and maintaining an Anti Virus program.

How do you remove a virus from your computer? The best method of virus removal is to follow the instructions on your Anti Virus Software Website for the virus you are attempting to remove. Most viruses are difficult to remove. They often require very specific steps be followed to completely remove them from your system.
